Alia Shawkat (born April 18 1989) is one the richest and most well-known TV Actresses. Alia Shawkat grew up in Riverside California. She was Maeby on the Fox show Arrested Development, a part which won her a TV Land Future Classic Award. In the movie Whip It, she starred alongside Ellen Page. Shawkat was Hannah in the film State of Grace, from 2001-2004. The character was played by Maeby Funke. a main cast member in Arrested Development. She played in this role since the start of the series until its final episode. Shawkat received praise for her performance on occasion. The show was received every time a positive response. Brian M. Palmer of Pop Culture commented that she was the brightest light on a show populated only by bright lights, and Scott Weinberg at eFilmCritic said it was funny for a young female. In a recent interview with The A.V. Shawkat confessed in 2010 that her most formative performances took place on the Arrested Improvement stage. Mitch Hurwitz acted as an uncle to me. It was great to be around because I feel that my knowledge of comedy was able to grow really well during that period.
