Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman was head of the class at Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A-levels. If Coleman was asked regarding her Emmerdale part she stated it was regrettable that she didn't having had the traditional University experience. Coleman was on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival with a company named In Yer Space, which she was part of while at school. Her performance was rewarded, and the play received positive reviews. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. This happened in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. She was awarded Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. For the 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor after Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role of Matt Smith. Moffat has chosen her due to the ease with which she complimented Smith and the fact that she had a faster speaking speed than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. There is no doubt that she has had more impact on TV projects than film. Eva is well-known for her roles as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The actress was nominated two "Daytime Emmy Awards" in the first role as well as having the opportunities to express the musical side of her. Eva as well as acting, is an entrepreneur and a charity employee. Her marriage has occurred three times and has a daughter by her second husband.
