Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. Over 20 albums have been made available by her. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend and Grammy award-winning. As one of early female musicians in the 1990s, DiFranco created her own record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, her parents Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who been in contact while at in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian ancestry and her mom was born in Montreal. Ani diFranco was the composer and singer of the track 32 Flavors. The song was featured on her fifth studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in the year 1995. The song is featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologised in 2013 when it was reported that she planned to host a three day workshop at a Louisiana slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, but she didn't show any regret. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. Little Folksinger is an artist who has collaborated with artists ranging from Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. At the age of 14 she was creating her own music. Teens were filled with singing them in pubs and coffee shops. DiFranco began attending classes at Buffalo State College at age 16 following her graduation from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
